Belluga Selection
The extra virgin olive oil «Belluga Selección» is made with native olives from Castellón, mainly with the «Serrana de Espadán» variety native to the Segorbe area and Alto Palancia region. This oil is made by the method of cold extraction with the first olives of the crop and is not subjected to filtration, but to natural decantation. All this allows us to obtain a high level of fruity, with a very low acidity and a high level of aromas and polyphenols (natural antioxidants). It is a sweet and smooth oil, with little bitterness or itching, which makes it suitable for any type of palate, especially for those not accustomed to extra virgin consumption.
In addition «Belluga Selección» has been included in the guide Flos Olei 2012 of the best oils in the world, edited by the illustrious taster Marco Oreggia, with an assessment of 84 points. Only two other oils from the Valencian Community have been selected in this prestigious guide.
